Re: [mdt-papyrus.dev] [Neon Work] [New Discussion] Development Rules

Just to let you know that these rules have been defined for the project ESF (Eclipse Safety Framework), and are published on its wiki.
The objective when the project will be released is to be able to control their application using Sonar, with Checkstyle, PMD and FindBugs.

We already have a checkstyle configuration to apply on the developper IDE, but the thing is that depending on the sonar versions, some rules are deprecated, and replaced by Sonar rules.
Thus, the futur step will may be to use the Sonar plugin for Eclipse ... If you have any opinion on that, I'm interested.

Regards,

Jonathan

+1, thanks for the proposition

For the Sonar instance, we have been running tests to run Sonar on Papyrus, but it does not scale yet for the Papyrus project. AFAIK, it runs out of memory when trying to run on Papyrus code.

Good proposition !

Why not activate the sonar instance: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Sonar

Hi everyone,

Because of the increasing number of contributors, I suggest to write down some development rules.
Before to make them active, I would like to have your feedback...
Those rules are based on another Eclipse project, so some rules could be un-relevant for Papyrus.

I created a page on the wiki under the "Neon Work Description".

The Page is available here:

The Talk page is here:

Good review !
