Hi all,
Second round of clean-up for the sandbox:
-
All *.customization plug-ins have been removed. They were based on the EMF Facet 0.1 Customization metamodel which can’t be used anymore. Moreover,
most of them were targetting customization models which are either deprecated (Such as EMF Facet) or never released (Such as the prototype of the Newchild Menu). Properties views configurations had been generated, without any specific manual customization,
which can be redone easily when required
-
The oep.properties.generation plug-in had been promoted to plugins/ during the 0.9 refactoring; and older copy still existed in the sandbox, it has
been deleted
-
The plug-in oep.uml.profile.properties was meant to edit Applied Stereotype Properties in a Profiled UML Model, but has not been completed. I moved
it to a separate feature branch
The plug-in oep.palette.customization provides a properties view for the Palette Metamodel which is not simply generated. It might be worth promoting to a feature
branch as well.
The plug-in oep.infra.gmfdiag.css.export is a contribution to oep.customization, which is used to generate a plug-in embedding specific customization/configuration
files. It might be promoted as well (Although oep.customization itself is not promoted, but might be). It has currently been moved to a feature branch
Plug-ins moved to a feature branch may not compile; I didn’t update them. They also don’t have the proper namespace.

Thanks Vincent for cleaning the sandbox,
I hope everyone will follow your lead.
I also agree that all developer plugins should be packaged so everyone can easily use them.
Regards,
Benoit

That command-stack spy certainly sounds useful! I can think of one or two occasions where I might have benefited from that …
Perhaps I can contribute something for bug 458409 [1] to the project management tools :-)

Hi Christian,
- oep.infra.emf.commandstack : I renamed it into oep.infra.emf.commandstack. I developed
it to have a view showing the command in the stack.
I used it several years ago to understand undo/redo bugs.
-
oep.dev.project.managment : this project provides facilities update easily all plugins/features in the workspace :
- change version number
- add file about.html into several plugin
- set copyright
- change dependencies version numbers
- …

Thanks for the notice. This kind of clean-up activity is very welcome!
I have a couple of questions about specific plug-ins that I hadn’t heard of before this:
-
oep.infra.emf.commandstack: what does this plug-in offer to developers? And with this name, I would have expected it to be part of the “infra” feature of the main Papyrus production plug-ins. Should it have a name that more clearly indicates
its purpose as a developer tool?
-
oep.dev.project.managment: what does this plug-in offer to developers? On the face of it, it sounds like it might provide some source-project wrangling tools that would perhaps be useful contributions to Oomph (to complement its facilities
for copying projects, automatic managemenet of project settings, etc.)
