That is unfortunate but tough.

If you use Java versions you should get the one version that is most appropriate for toolsmiths. Each time UML2 has migrated there have been issues that dependent projects had to accommodate. A notable necessary migration was the migration of PrimitiveTypes to the Types package.

NB. The Java versions are not OMG models, they just look rather like them.

If you want OMG-like models you must stick with pure models.

We cannot get rid of static version of the old profile for legacy purpose. Some users having a methodology based on older versions of SysML may want to keep using it with Papyrus upcoming releases.
