Re: [mdt-papyrus.dev] Papyrus Extra components & Discovery

Hi,

Yes, I confirm any new contributor is welcomed. There are already several commiters whom come from several organizations.
Here is a draft of our Contributor Guide: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_UML_Generators/Contributor_Guide

The project has been successfully refactored to org.eclipse.* and is currently at the IP review step.
The UML2Java features come from this project: https://github.com/ObeoNetwork/UML-Java-Generation

Cédric, this project has been announced on polarsys-iwg mailing list and eclipse newsletter. Verify you subscribe to these channels to receive this kind of information.

As far as I remember, the project team was really open to external contribution during the proposition phase so I guess it won’t be a problem.

I advice you to contact them on the project mailing list. The link to subscribe: https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/umlgen-dev/

  I Gael,

Thanks to let me point on this new project.
Papyrus generator and code reverse are very old projects that have always been in Papyrus extra plugins.

I think too that it could make sense for me to collaborate to the new project UML generators. The question is does the guys on this project will accept another collaboration :-).

Hi Cédric,

I have a question regarding to these reverse and generators.

Do you plan to collaborate with the new project UML generators? I think it would make a lot of sense.

Here are the links to the proposal and the project page.

  Hi,

Maybe we can integrate the Java Code Reverse and Java Code Generator. It is features that are often requested by users.

Hi all,

We’re close to Luna M7, which is the Feature Freeze milestone. In the early Luna milestones, some extra-components have been disabled. I think there are also new extra components, which have never been integrated to the discovery site. So, the current status is:

-          4 Languages available: Marte, EAST-ADL, RobotML, RealTime
-          4 Extensions: Diagram generation, CDO, Compare, Layers

Papyrus Tables and CSS have been removed from the Discovery site, as they are now part of the standard Papyrus distribution.

Are there other extra-components which need to be integrated to the discovery site for Luna? It would be nice to have a complete discovery site for M7 (At least as complete as possible, as I know some components are not yet ready).

Camille
