Hi All,
The build I run last night finally failed >.<.... I've been
looking at the error console whithout any conclusive idea why it fails:
In spite of having a lot of exeception (i.e ClassNotFound) through the
console output, at then end it says that the build was successful:
cleanup:
[echo] Remove temp dirs in /opt/users/hudsonbuild/.hudson/jobs/cbi-mdt-ocl-3.0-integration/workspace/build/S201008111632
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
Total time: 34 minutes 21 seconds
[start] [17:07:28] start.sh finished.
Actually we have the proper artefacts:
https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/job/cbi-mdt-ocl-3.0-integration/111/artifact/build/S201008111632/
The error regarding javadoc at the end of the console output, say
nothing to me...
The situation is the following:
- I was expecting to just invest an hour (or two) to do the promotion
step. I can't invest more time since I have to finish the moving during
today and tomorrow.
- In spite of having good artefacts, I'm not obviously promoting the
build since it's erroneous
- Tomorrow It has to be built the Helios EPP. We are not compromising
the Helios SR RC1 since we are just feeding the build with our MDT/OCL
3.0.0 update site, which actually would be equivalent to the MDT/OCL
3.0.1 so it's not vital publishing our 3.0.1 SR today. Actually other
projects such as EMF, or UML has not done it. We will have to fix the
build for RC2 as soon as we want to include some Ed's patches in the
service release.
- Regarding Indigo, next week. The "access denied" problem is still
there, although the cause is now known (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=321857
). I'll obviously use Athena to create Indigo M1 since the bucky one
still needs some experiments. We will use the current
https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/job/cbi-mdt-ocl-3.0-integration job to
do it as we have been using so far. Now that I know how to do a build
from a branch/head, I hope to not encounter any problem in this way,
although the nightly build failed last week so I'll also have to fix
that prior to obtain a proper M1 build. In principle as Ed suggested,
I'll create a 3.1.0M1 build.
- BTW, If I finally get Internet access at home this Friday, I'll start
the build tuning during the weekend in order to not have surprises on
Monday/Tuesday.
P.S: Alex, If you were able to have a look to the error of our last
stable build, It'd be great . Maybe, your experiences during the last
year could be helpful here.
Cheers,
Adolfo.

You're
welcome, I was struggling with my builds at the same time so could
easily look at OCL at the same time :p.

Team,
After some conversation with Laurent (thx very much ;) ) and some
tries, I've started a build which could be the definitive. The changes:
- Change the hudson'jobs configuration to use the R3_0_maintenance
branch and configure (export) a ProjRelengBranch configuration
property.
- Minor changes to build.properties and run.sh script, which I still
have to revise.
Let's see what happens tomorrow. Next step: promotion. I guess we will
need a promotion-M.sh and a promotion-M.properties.
I'll expose more conclusions tomorrow, it's too late to think about
them right now....
Cheers,
Adolfo

Hi Adolfo
I'm pretty sure nothing has changed on the HEAD branch.
