[mdt-ocl.dev] M7a and Xtext API change
|
Hi
Now that I've cracked the Xtext M7 build
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=311662) I can move on to
the Xtext API change
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=311787) which means that
the full promoted MDT/OCL M7 build requires Xtext M6 and not M7.
We therefore need an M7a built against Xtext M7 after regenerating to
use the M7 APIs.
Since this only affects the editors, existing users don't need it. I'll
try to do it by myself and see if I can promote. This no doubt will mean
that M7a is unsigned. I'll recommit the rolled back fix for Bug 311625
in M7a.
Hopefully Xtext will not change the APIs again at RC1.
After Helios, I think this makes a clinching case for the Xtext editors
moving to an OCL Tools project so that
OCL is +1 (independent of Xtext)
Xtext is +N (independent of OCL)
OCL Tools is max(+1,+N)+1 (dependent on Xtext and OCL).
[I'm on holiday next week so cannot be sure to be responsive to emails etc].
