Hi,
Well Galileo /is/ released and the packages created and distributed. It
is highly doubtful that we want to re-spin this (I for one do not :p). I
truly believe the maintenance branch should see only critical bug fixes
backported to it and I join Alex in thinking even these should be
copiously reviewed beforehand as 1.3 will most likely be used for a long
while still.

I'm very happy to go along with this;saves some branch hassle.
However the bug fix would have been applied at M7 if there had
not been a committer access discontinuity. Arguably we have a
responsibility to finish off the Galileo release.
