The next Eclipse release is 2022-06, on 15 June 2022.

Note the dates for 2022-06 , including these dates which would apply to MAT.
2022-06 M3 +3 Wednesday, May 25, 2022 – we should aim to be API complete
2022-06 RC1 +3 Wednesday, June 1, 2022 - we should have completed bug fixes by then
I suggest that we contribute a new release (1.13.0) of Eclipse Memory Analyzer to the simultaneous release, and also a stand-alone version.
There is a bit of work to bit done for the release process, but I think we have just about enough time to do it:
https://wiki.eclipse.org/MemoryAnalyzer/Contributor_Reference#New_version_development_process
I have created a new release record as a place holder, which can be modified as required.
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.mat/releases/1.13.0
I have updated the bug list to show already fixed bugs
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.mat/releases/1.13.0/bugs We have 16 fixes/enhancements done.
There are a few more which we might be able to get in:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=578945 – should we prohibit MAT from running as root (as that messes up shared installations)
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=577157 – base standalone MAT on 2022-03? We could add Linux AArch 64 and Mac Arm64/AArch64, I think Linux PPC64LE is still available.
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=564133 – add splash screen
These are some larger performance optimizations from Jason Koch. Sadly, I’m not sure I can find time to properly review these for 2022-06.

Are other committers able to spend a bit of time on the next release process?
