Rick, Only tenuously. If you read the reference policy, the Eclipse Foundation is specifically prohibited from representing the interests of its members without their prior written consent. I believe there have been discussions concerning that, but I am not sure how to actually implement them in practice. The Eclipse Foundation does not own any intellectual property per se. To date, our engagement with various specification organizations (JCP, OSGi, OMG,…) have been basically tokens of support as opposed to active engagement by EMO staff. The Eclipse Foundation policy[3] on joining Specification Organizations requires two weeks of advance notice to the membership-at-large.
