The "RI" for at least the Smart Object part is in Python btw, I'll have to speak with my more Python-afine colleagues, if they know, where Python is used on the actual devices, e.g. on Embedded Linux.

Lua is more similar to Python than Java, so those mostly writing Lua code might find it interesting. The GitHub project is missing any reference to some of the many Python libraries for Units of Measurement, and what looks worse, he got the *.pyc files in Git, too. Never saw that, we ensure to update  .gitignore and I remember, Pydev also does that.
It's like adding *.class files to Git for a Java project;-)
