Corresponding https://github.com/tesla/m2eclipse-mavenarchiver/issues/9 has been fixed, which you can test by installing the latest CI build from https://otto.takari.io/content/sites/m2e.extras/m2eclipse-mavenarchiver/0.17.2/N/LATEST/.

I forgot to mention that the error also appears with version 0.17.1.201605251832 of the mavenarchiver connector...
