Not quite sure what you mean by "official release". To me, for a project
as small as m2e/tycho, any build that proved to be useful and reasonably
problem free is a release. The keyword here is 'proved', i.e. released
are declared in retrospective. I think we can call 0.6.0.201207302152 a
release, I've been using it for almost two months now without problems.

There are no plans to add m2e/tycho or any other integration to m2e
core. By design, only java/jdt integration is part of m2e core. All
other functionality is developed through extension mechanisms provided
by the core. I also see no value in moving m2e/tycho code to
eclipse.org. Their dev and legal processes have significant overhead and
silly rules that make little sense even for corporate-sponsored
"commercial" opensource development. And they are straight
counterproductive for small projects with true opensource motivation.
