Re: [m2e-users] Add Dependency search always zero
|
good morning from foggy berkeley...
[also cc'ing nexus-users to see if anyone has ideas on that side.]
I've tried several clean installs, with clean/not clean repos with no joy.
I'm on mac snow-leopard and the 64bit version seems to work better.
I note that some versions (32 bit) do not create create repository indices on startup, even though this is selected in user-prefs.
I have also tried a juno install.
Is there some sort of secret m2e initialization going on behind the scenes before repository queries can work?
I believe that when it was working, I had built a project already. I'm trying now the following steps:
1) remove old eclipse install, including working dir and m2/repository
2) create new eclipse install.
3) file->import->materialize maven projects from SCM->Add Dependency->(type in query).
At one point I was able to query "commons*" and it answered! However, the answer was garbled, for example the group was "avn-xx" instead of "maven-xx".
Interesting.
I have also reindexed nexus and re-published indexes, and verified all queries from the nexus repository manager (ref: http://www.sonatype.com/people/2009/09/nexus-scheduled-tasks/ )
best,
/r
P.S. Sorry to be a pest, preparing for a demo to show-off this feature!
