[linuxtools-dev] 2.0 release information and deadlines

Hi everyone,

So we are upto M7 now and some endgame items are pending.
* Documentation - Our web site is in git (in case someone missed that) http://git.eclipse.org/c/www.eclipse.org/linuxtools.git/. I did some quick changes to the N&N so newer news pages should contain only the current release information. Please everyone start filling the New and noteworthy page (new/2.0/new.html) in git.
* User guides - User guides need to be updated to match current workflow, especially profiling tools which have their launchers changed. Screenshots have to be updated to match them too. New features deserve their place in the documentation too.
* IPLog - it's due on May 24th (http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/cross-project-issues-dev/msg08897.html) so from that point on we can not receive contributions from non-committers. See https://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/IP_Log for details.
* New features - it would be really appreciated if people don't push new features after RC1 (May 24th again) so we reduce the surprises in the RC builds.
* Code quality - both our nightly hudson and sonar have reports pointing to various problems. Please review https://dev.eclipse.org/sonar/dashboard/index/1878?did=4&period= and try shipping better release.
* Bugzilla - please review your bugs and if they are fixed in the 2.0 please set the target milestone to 2.0 so our bugzilla query is sensible (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&classification=Tools&product=Linux%20Tools&target_milestone=2.0&bug_status=RESOLVED&bug_status=VERIFIED&bug_status=CLOSED&bugidtype=include&list_id=5416313 )

Happy hacking and onwards to an awesome release,
Alexander Kurtakov
