In the past the OProfile eclipse plug-in has used a binary interface to read the OProfile sample files. For Fedora the binary interface has been provided by static libraries oprofile-devel rpm. To follow the packaging standards for Fedora I would like to eliminate the oprofile-devel rpm and the static libraries it contains. Is removing oprofile-devel and its contents going to cause problems for the current version of the eclipse oprofile plugin? Has eclipse moved completely over to using the xml interface?
