Re: [linuxtools-dev] Next release planning

With us releasing 0.7, the 0.6 branch will no longer be used for builds. I will switch the Helios Hudson build to use trunk. If you have any patches that are on the branch but not yet in trunk, please remember to copy them over.

Hi,

We (LTTng) don't have new features but a number of bug fixes and a few
improvements in the Helios branch. And some more are coming :-)

Since there were API changes, I guess it would mean Linux Tools 0.7,
right?

There were no other replies. So let's call for for 0.7 in the beginning of
December on 1st . This release is going to be based on Helios and I would
like to see work for Indigo starting right after branching for release so
we can contribute to Indigo M4.

If noone objects in the next few days I'll update our schedule.

No reply??
It's official - Next release is going to contain new features and break API.
Date: December 1st
Version: 0.7.0

Hi Linux toolers :),
It's time for us to plan the next release. Here are few questions we
should answer first:
* Are there enough changes in the 0.6 branch to justify making 0.6.2
release?
* What is the stage of new features development in different
subprojects? * Do we have enough new features to consider 0.7 release
soon?

I would like to get information from different subprojects before we
decide how
to proceed.
These are the answers for the subprojects I'm involved into:
* eclipse-build - we have updated to Helios SR1 and release as soon as
possible will be best, no matter whether it will be called 0.6.2 or 0.7
* rpmstubby - nothing changed
* rpm-editor - just small changes, which are not bugfixes and because
of that
are done in trunk only, but they don't deserve a full release yet

Others?
