RE: [laszlo-dev] future plans!

Thanks Amy – that will help us know where to actually devote time! J

Hi Andy,

You're right that it is currently hard to see the status.

As an interim solution, the bugs are annotated in the comments as fixed. But, this doesn't help someone quickly reviewing the list; however, if you open one and delve into the comments - you'll see the resolution.

The current rules at Eclipse are that only "committers"  can change the status of bugs. I am in contact with the Eclipse Foundation to find a way to workaround this problem, I will make a pass by the end of the day and try to commit the resolution as indicated by Frisco Del Rosario, who has been doing qa and verification on IDEforLaszlo.

I'll send out email once I have done this.

Thanks!

Amy

Amy – last I knew there was at least a couple of bugs in that list that were still open that shouldn’t have been – a month after they had been fixed….specificallly the ones related to jdk 1.5 and WTP 1.0, that is what discouraged me from even looking to closely because when I started looking I didn’t feel like I had a way to know the true status of the bug…..this was a couple of weeks ago.   Is it better now?

Hello Svante,

You will find future extension points and our plans in the "Creation Review Slides" on the front page of the IDEforLaszlo eclipse web page (http://www.eclipse.org). This should give you an idea of where the project is headed.

And, if you want to get involved, there are a number of reported bugs under Bugzilla that you can use as a task list to get started with. In addition, there are instructions for building the software. You can send any patches to me and I'll see they get into the review process.

Best Regards,

Amy Muntz

Hi all.

I´m brand new to this list and also to laszlo. I guess a laszlo-user list would be more appropriate for me but I didn´t find one. I´ve downloaded the eclipse package, tried it out and got very impressed. What I´m looking for now is some kind of roadmap for the laszloIDE. I didn´t find any on the eclipse site. If someone could give me a pointer I would be more than happy.
