Hi John,
A bug has been filed [1] to track this issue.
Thanks,
--Dave
Hi John,
I saw this as well. We may update the code to handle the relative path, but in the mean time I have updated the documentation to reflect the need for an absolute path.
Thanks,
--Dave
Hi Dave,
I think that I found the solution to the disappearing dp file. If I enter the deployment package via the web interface it works correctly. The only difference that I have found is that the complete path is entered into dpa.properties.
regards
John

[kura-dev] Fwd: permanent deployment package deleted
Dave,
As follow up information for you.
The dp file gets deleted on KURA V1.1.0 and ESF 3.0.0 after the deployment package is successfully started. It seems as if it is specifically deleted by KURA as other files in the same folder are not deleted.
Rebooting causes an exception as the entry is still in dpa.properties, but the file is missing.

Re: [kura-dev] permanent deployment package deleted
Hi Dave,
I have now updated to the lastest Kura (1.1.0) on the Rasbian. Using the procedure you describe, the first boot after including the .dp file works fine, but I can see that the file has already disappeared from /opt/eclipse/kura/kura/packages after
being successfully started.
So the problem has remained after the update.
Happy new year to you.
regards
john
Hi John,
How are you installing the deployment package? Did you happen to try the steps here [1]? If you have tried these steps, in particular the last section, and it is still not working let me know.
Thanks,
--Dave
Hi,
we are currently testing the permanent deployment of packages (.dp) on a target. The target we are using for the test is a raspberry pi running kura-1.1.0-SNAPSHOT.
The package starts successfully, but it is immediately deleted from the folder after starting. The folder /opt/eclipse/kura/kura/packages, in which we have copied the .dp file appears to be recreated when kura starts.
Can you please help us with this?
Thanks for an excellent product.
