AW: [jwt-dev] JWT source code integration within Eclipse

Hi Ravi,

that’s definitely a good idea. I always have the source open while I’m developing something, but surely it will be a lot easier for other users if simply the source code is included in one of the builds. As this is a feature for the release engineer, I opened an own bug for it (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=294960) and let Chris decide whether he will already include that into the next version.

I’m happy that you nearly finished your development of your RCP app on top of JWT. If you like, then we can add you to the list of integrators on our wiki page.

Hiding the custom properties tab probably makes sense, if one is sure that all interesting aspects are shown in other tabs. Therefore, this is another good feature request. Marc would probably be the one who shortly knows the point where to change that in the code. I let you open an own bug for this feature.

Best regards,

Florian

Betreff: [jwt-dev] JWT source code integration within Eclipse

Hi Florian,

Is there a way to have JWT source code integrated within Eclipse just like GEF/Draw2D. Since, these frameworks come under plugin dependencies a jar with source files can’t be specified using “Attach Source” in Eclipse. We have to update Eclipse with the plugin documentation and source files.

For GEF/Draw2D I’ve installed org.eclipse.gef/draw2d.source.feature.group from their update sites. I couldn’t find source files for JWT available on its update site. Do we have something like this planned or already available for JWT.

I’m almost done integrating JWT within my RCP app that started as a Workflow Viewer and now would like to customize JWT like hiding “Custom Properties” tab whenever JWT’s editor is active. Customizations would require me to make changes into JWT’s underlying code and it would really help if I could browse through it within Eclipse.

Regards,

Ravi
