Re: AW: [jwt-dev] JWT project telco

Hello guys,

It seems like I committed too late the latest release candidate to Galileo, so that it is still the one-week-older JWT version that is available in the Galileo release site... I'm really sorry for that. Both bugs (Incubation tag on feature and NLS warning) were solved in the beginning of last week, and will be for sure integrated into next Galileo build (wednesday).

About the dependency management, I can't see any reason to explain why you re-download the whole modeling thing, but I trust the p2 installer and think that there is probably a good reason to explain this behavior...

Regards,
Mickael

Hi all,

this is very strange, I get the same effect with the modeling package. More
strangely, I tried with RCP and the result was that a lot of JDT stuff got
downloaded during the installation of JWT.

For the warning concerning the NLS message there existed already a bug as
far as I can remember. Maybe the corresponding plugin hasn't been rebuilt
for RC2?

Regards,
Chris

Hi there,

okay, so we'll skip the project telco next Wednesday in order to attend
the
Galileo project review. I'm not sure whether there will be much (if
any!)
discussion about JWT, but we can have our regular telco on the 17th
then
(one week in advance to Galileo). So, please adapt your calendars
accordingly!

Oh yes, just for your information: I downloaded Galileo RC2 today and
here
are some of my experiences:

- I downloaded Eclipse Modeling RC2 and when I selected in this Eclipse
version that I want to install JWT from the update site, it installs me
additionally EVERY plugin from the modeling package. I didn't check any
box
from the modeling package. I even skipped the installation and tried it
a
second time with the same result. Do other persons with other bundles
(RCP
developer or Eclipse Classic) make the same experierence? If yes, then
I'll
open a bug for this.

- I found that all other Incubation projects show the name with an
"(Incubation)" in the Galileo update site, but we at JWT don't.
Probably we
should fix that before Galileo. I'll open a bug for that.

- There seems to be one last NLS unused message in epcplugin
(palette_CreationEntry_description). At least I got this as only
warning
concerning JWT.

- I didn't find any problems or errors when switching to the JWT
Workflow
Editor perspective. But I didn't check the log file, maybe there is
still
some minor issue.

Best regards and have a nice weekend,

Florian

Hi all,

I'm very enthusiastic about participating to the review!
From my side, I can't see any hot topic for next week telco then,
except if
one of us has something important to present, we can skip this telco
and do
another one one 17th june, so that we will probably talk about some
feedback
we got during Galileo review.

Mickael

Hi there,

this is just a notice that next Wednesday, the 10th, there will be
the
Galileo Simultaneous Release conf call at 1500 UTC, which should be
1700 ESTC, so 5pm. We have scheduled our JWT telco for 4pm, so we can
decide whether we will have our telco and then stop it after an hour,
so everybody who is interested (I am! and I guess Mickael, too ;-))
can log into the Galileo conf call or whether we simply skip this
conf
call. What do you think?

Best regards,

Florian

Hello all,

Below is the schedule of upcoming project reviews. Review Calls take
place only if an Eclipse member, using the project's Communication
Channel (given below), requests that the call be held. Otherwise, the
EMO will decide the outcome of the review based on the docuware and
community feedback.

The request for the Review Call must be posted at least 24 hours
before the scheduled review time. The EMO will post a message on the
Communication Channel stating whether or not the Review Call will be
held. The EMO will also post the results of the review on the
Communication Channel.

Please note that the Galileo Simultaneous Release *will* take place
on
a conference call next Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 15:00 UTC. The
review docuware is being assembled and will be available for download
later.
