Re: AW: AW: AW: [jwt-dev] JWT Release Review Slides
|
Hi all
Mickael, I like the idea of the release review docuware being as
readable as possible.
However, as documented at
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Release_Reviews ,
the content of release review slides is fairly set in stone, and the
closer it is to check that ours answer these requirements, the better.
Moreover, some changes that Mickaël made in the ordering actually stem
from misunderstandings of this plan (Schedule, Communication) on our part.
So please find in attachment a new version that gets back to the adivsed
plan and takes care of misunderstandings such as :
* "Schedule" means to discuss what actually happend vs what was
planned, and is not a copy of the future Project Plan. Here I've rather
sayidthat we skipped the 0.6 "integrators" (because Bull and jBoss'
schedule changed) and 0.7 "soa" (it became Scarbo).
Regards,
Marc

Hi there,
I added two slides about the new view editor as well as about the EPC view.
I worked in parallel to Mickael which is why his/your re-structuring is lost
again. Sorry for that! I'm not sure whether there was a structure that we
need to have for the release review slides, but I don't think so. Marc, can
you remember something about that?
Regards,
Florian

Ah, sorry, this was a misunderstanding from my side, I thought you meant the
features developed in the multiple-views branch.

Err maybe we're not talking about the same thing ?
The new view editor was already mentioned in the slides as a new
feature but had nothing more than one line about it. Maybe some more
details would be appropriate ?

Marc

Hi Marc,
should we include this into the 0.6 slides? After all it will be
only
part
of the 0.7 release and I'm not sure if we need to go into detail
here already.

Chris

Hi
I've polished them, enriched the Communication and Community
slides, and added a slide about the model Aspect feature.
Chris, shouldn't you add more details about the new views mechanism
?

Marc

Hi Florian and Mickael,
thanks for creating the slides, I think they're very good already.
I
just made a few minor changes not worth mentioning.

Hello Florian,
I added some contents and some slides concerning features. I also
changed Open Wide logo for the newer and better one. I renamed
some
slides to give more explicit title ("Non-code aspects" ->
"Communication and Visibility"; "APIs" -> "Quality").
There are still a lot of things to say about this release, more
especially about Views and Aspects.
I think it would be useful to spend a whole slide speaking about
adopters: AgilPro and Scarbo. Scarbo is not anymore a proof of
concept, we wish to have users for it and why not to offer
support
on
it. Maybe we can talk about Scarbo about a potentiel industrial
usage
of JWT. I did not add such slide yet.
All that stuff are only opinions, feel free to correct or revert
any
change if you don't like them. (I won't mind if it is the case ;)
Regards,
Mickael

Hi all,
please find attached a first version of the release review
slides for Galileo. This is the long set of slides, as discussed
before
we
also need a short set with a summary about our project. But I
would
like
to
finish the long set before, so we can simply take the best out
of
it
for the other set of slides ;-) You'll find that there are still
a
lot
of TODOs in the PPT. If you find some time, I would be happy if
you
could spend some time and integrate a description about the new
features, etc.
Thanks and best regards,
Florian
