AW: [jwt-dev] Bugs to work on for Galileo, version 0.6.0

Hi all,

thanks for the categorization of the open bugs. A few comments from me:

212141 Restructure Applications --> after new metamodel, either in version 0.7 or the one after that (0.8 or 1.0)

238259 Add extension point for views --> version 0.7?

248565 separate view-specific model content and support different view data --> development for 0.7.0

248567 source out metamodel?  --> development for 0.7.0

248634 Display grayed aspects in outline --> not important, probably for 0.7.0?

249361 Migrate EMF templates to Ganymede --> development for 0.7.0

249916 extend/rewrite the converter --> development for 0.7.0

251662 views for aspects --> Melanie will work on that probably for 0.7.0

256916 AND-Gateway and XOR-Gateway absent from the model --> development for 0.7.0?

271869 Contribute help to Eclipse Help system --> can be changed to version 0.7.0, I guess

267029 input output data not correct --> still a problem I guess, but not that important

263485 Reference activated instead of element --> for 0.7.0 only, since Chris changed some things here

257725 It is not able to extend the editPart actions --> development for 0.7.0?

258816 include layout algorithms --> development for 0.7.0

Agree (-> 0.7)

215634 Workflow templates don't include types --> isn't this fixed already?

This should already be included. Still need to test it though (and close the bug if it works without problems)

256612 problem with view dropdown in toolbar label --> didn't experience the problem for quite a while? Already fixed?

It seems so (hopefully) ;)

249333 activate multipropertytab only if additional tabs were registered to jwt-we --> would be nice for 0.6.0

266875 "Switch view" widget is sometimes not displayed in toolbar --> Still a problem I guess we should have a look at for Galileo

256560 minor galileo issues --> should be fixed for 0.6.0

269412 UML AD-View with wrong figures --> should be fixed for Galileo

Jep, todo!

241945 Allow new custom node types using EMF child extenders --> No idea, Marc?

247917 ExternalActions don't listen to model selection changes --> has been fixed by new extension point?

256395 performance issues --> ??

Mickael, you wrote this can be closed. I remember there being some warning about parsing the extension points the wrong way on the mailing list. Probably we should check this to make sure that JWT will not load the whole Eclipse extension registry into memory ;) Has this already been implemented? (to be honest, I currently can’t remember)

263241 FactoryRegistry as an extension point. -->?

I currently do not have the HEAD rev checked out. Isn’t this already included?

257403 Views.displayObject() should return true by default --> ??

We could include this into new xml description format for views (view designer can select if unknown elements, e.g. aspects, are to be shown or hidden)

Regards,

Chris

Betreff: [jwt-dev] Bugs to work on for Galileo, version 0.6.0

Hi all,

as can be seen on [1] we currently have 38 bugs for version 0.6.0 open plus an additional of 7 bugs for the yearly release. This means we should work on 45 bugs until the Galileo release that is at the end of June (with a release review and some other milestones quite ahead of this).

Since this won't be possible and we already discussed that several things will be only done after Galileo, I guess we need to reassign the version number of quite some bugs.

Here is my proposal for the list of bugs:

WE:

212141 Restructure Applications --> after new metamodel, either in version 0.7 or the one after that (0.8 or 1.0)

215634 Workflow templates don't include types --> isn't this fixed already?

238259 Add extension point for views --> version 0.7?

241945 Allow new custom node types using EMF child extenders --> No idea, Marc?

247917 ExternalActions don't listen to model selection changes --> has been fixed by new extension point?

248565 separate view-specific model content and support different view data --> development for 0.7.0

248567 source out metamodel?  --> development for 0.7.0

248634 Display grayed aspects in outline --> not important, probably for 0.7.0?

249333 activate multipropertytab only if additional tabs were registered to jwt-we --> would be nice for 0.6.0

249361 Migrate EMF templates to Ganymede --> development for 0.7.0

249916 extend/rewrite the converter --> development for 0.7.0

251662 views for aspects --> Melanie will work on that probably for 0.7.0

256395 performance issues --> ??

256560 minor galileo issues --> should be fixed for 0.6.0

256612 problem with view dropdown in toolbar label --> didn't experience the problem for quite a while? Already fixed?

256916 AND-Gateway and XOR-Gateway absent from the model --> development for 0.7.0?

257195 Disable overview page --> fixed, bug has been closed.

257400 Allow to specify custom PropertySheet through dedicated extension point --> current status here?

257403 Views.displayObject() should return true by default --> ??

257725 It is not able to extend the editPart actions --> development for 0.7.0?

258816 include layout algorithms --> development for 0.7.0

260233 Profile and Aspect development not possible in the new outline --> Marc?

261010 add examples to eclipse category --> nearly finished, only to be discussed where on CVS it should be submitted

263241 FactoryRegistry as an extension point. -->?

263485 Reference activated instead of element --> for 0.7.0 only, since Chris changed some things here

266875 "Switch view" widget is sometimes not displayed in toolbar --> Still a problem I guess we should have a look at for Galileo

267016 Make a wink or a video that shows how UI can be extended --> would be nice for Galileo, but not a must

267029 input output data not correct --> still a problem I guess, but not that important

269412 UML AD-View with wrong figures --> should be fixed for Galileo

271869 Contribute help to Eclipse Help system --> can be changed to version 0.7.0, I guess

Transformations:

244825 Transformations from JWT to STP-IM --> has been changed to fixed.

262021 Make XPDL exported files compatible with Enhydra Shark --> what's the status here?

264149 Lanes in JWT to BPMN transformation --> something we should work on

265184 JWT to jPDL transformations --> change to version 0.7.0?

Releng:

264851 Build JWT through Hudson --> I don't know, already fixed? Mickael?

265924 Use Common Builder Infrastructure for builds --> Mickael?

266289 Enable tests on several Eclipse targets --> Mickael?

272132 Include line numbers in built classes  --> Mickael?

So with the 7 yearly release bugs, I see at least the following ones as important we should address in May:

256560 minor galileo issues --> should be fixed for 0.6.0

269412 UML AD-View with wrong figures --> should be fixed for Galileo

261010 add examples to eclipse category --> nearly finished, only to be discussed where on CVS it should be submitted

264149 Lanes in JWT to BPMN transformation --> something we should work on (also the transformation in the other direction needs to be improved!)

257561 APIs

257571 New & Noteworthy

257573 Work Together

257580 Branding

260125 Usability

260129 Localization - Babel PTT

260130 Localization - UI freeze

Do you agree? Who will work on what? Did I miss something? What is your view on the importance of these bugs? Besides that we have the review slides and other documentation material (that is not necessarily part of Branding), etc.

Best regards,

Florian
