Re: [jnosql-dev] New URL project

  • Jakarta NoSQL: will be the API and specification and the package name will "jakarta.nosql"
  • Eclipse JNoSQL: the reference implementation of Jakarta NoSQL.

So, in the future Eclipse JNoSQL will split the code between API and the implementation and the API will rename to the new package and move to Jakarta NoSQL.

Kind of weird but that is roughly what I just wrote About Glassfish and the prospect of future versions.

Will the “NoSQL” project nevertheless match what is meant to be the “Jakarta EE NoSQL Spec”?

And what about the SI (Spec Implementation) should that also be called “Eclipse NoSQL” now or is the “J” fine in that case? Guess for the implementation unlike the spec it is also a branding question.

That still on Eclipse umbrella. The Jakarta NoSQL process is not ready yet.

Will it stay under „eclipse“ or move to „eclipse-ee4j“?
