[jgit-dev] "next" branch

I discussed with Jonathan, David and Martin at the Gerrit and JGit hackathon in Sunnyvale a proposal Jonathan made at last year's Gerrit hackathon to add a "next" branch for preparing breaking changes and cleanups for the next major release which cannot land in a minor release following semantic versioning rules.

I went ahead and created that branch. We are going to merge master to next on a regular basis.
