I think you should not change the author. It’s still Marc. He should at least get back as an “Also-by”. Committer might have to be you. The Eclipse Gerrit CLA has some problems otherwise.

what's the reason why contributors don't have the forge author permission ?

Is it intended by the Eclipse Development Process that contributors can't help each

other on the same change without changing both author and committer which is

worse than granting forge author permission ?
