can you give the 7.2.2 version of the maven plugin a whirl

reason being that there is an outside chance that 8.0 M2
didn't get
updates to the maven plugin merged over before it was released
we have some CQ's going through for jsp 2.2 support and
the plan was
to start pushing RC's of 8.0 around that time, but they
are taking so
long a new milestone might be prudent since jetty 7.3 is
staged right
now and soon to be released.
