I don't know the answer to your question, but https://github.com/daveshields/jikespg/ seems to be the place where you may find definitive answers.

I'm curious as to whether jikespg is still used anywhere else out of JDT. If not, it may be best to incorporate it. Does anyone have an idea? Looks like it used to be widely used at IBM, os it still the case?
