[jdt-core-dev] GSoC project needs assistance from commiters

Hi,

This year I'm going to mentor a GSoC project which sounds like "Improved Refactoring Awareness for Eclipse Plug-ins"
Abstract: Eclipse's current refactoring API is very acceptable for plug-ins developers that want to create new refactorings(Rename, inline, etc.). Unfortunatly it does not provide an elegant solution for a plug-in client that wishes to be aware of refactorings. This is true for plug-ins extending the JDT project plug-ins, and most probably for other toolkit packages such as the C/C++ development package. The project aims at improving the concerned API and creating/updating the Eclipse documentation relating to the new capabilities that will be implemented.

Unfortunately I'm not a JDT commiter (yet ;) , so at the moment I'm searching for anyone who could during the last phase of the project take a look at the patch(es) and if it looks good commit it to the trunk. Just want to be sure that my students project wouldn't end up in nowhere and will be useful for the community.

Is there anybody who could help us with this question?

Regards,
Anton Safonov
