Yes.   Happily the RSA (Remote Service Admin) spec defines the necessary 
classloading requirements, and ECF RSA implementation satisfies these 
requirements.   The short story is that supporting multiple versions of 
classes in a single framework (OSGi) adds requirements that RMI can't 
easily satisfy.
