Hi All,

here is what we currently have in place with regards to Jakarta EE Community Engagement, with some new additions and modifications. Before I share the document with the wider community, I'd like to share with the Working Groupr. I have also placed this document to the Jakarta EE Community google drive.

Eclipse Newsletter - while the EF newsletter occurs monthly, once a quarter the newsletter is dedicated to Jakarta EE

In addition to above Jakarta blogs that are covering all Java Cloud related topics, we are adding the following

• New community blogs on “how are you involved with Jakarta EE” - sign up sheet to the community, ideal frequency bi-weekly blogs, we’d  like to ensure we promote via Eclipse Foundation and other members' PR/marketing channels

• New monthly update emails to jakarta.ee-community@xxxxxxxxxxx, highlighting news from the various calls, Eclipse Foundation to the community

Meetings

Jakarta Tech Talks - open to community jakarta.ee-community@xxxxxxxxxxx

• Jakrata Tech Talk MeetUp Link

• Monthly occurrence, last week of a month, usually Tuesday

• Jakarta Tech Talk schedule and talks suggestions spreadsheet - please sign up / propose a talk

• This is a live stream with recording available on YouTube

• 30-40 min technical talk by the community

• This is also an opportunity for 10-15 min update on Jakarta EE from Eclipse Foundation

Jakarta EE Update (formerly: Jakarta EE WG) calls - open to WG jakarta.ee-wg@xxxxxxxxxxx  and wider community  jakarta.ee-community@xxxxxxxxxxx

• The meeting invite is in the new public calendar Jakarta EE Community Calendar

• This is a monthly occurrence, every second Wednesday of the month (not to be in the same week as Jakarta Tech Talks)

• This meeting is to be prepared and organized by the Jakarta EE Working Group members and agenda to be shared with the community prior to the call

• Use the time slot for occasional updates from Eclipse Foundation and strategic members (Executive Director and panel)  - Jakarta Town Hall

We had 2 very successful instances of town hall meetings - first at EclipseCon Europe 2018 and A year in review in late January 2019

EF organized Events and Conferences

JakartaOne Live - virtual one day event, targeting users and adopters. Planned for the second week of September 2019.

EclipseCon Europe - 4 day Eclipse event, with dedicated Cloud Native Java track, community day event scheduled, likely Jakarta Town Hall.  Scheduled for October 21-24, 2019.
