Re: [ide4edu-dev] Project plan

I recall these discussions. I have not included them here because (a) I want to make sure that we define a "doable" scope for this first release, (b) we need to make sure that we have development resources aligned with each development task, and (c) I didn't necessarily see bugs in Bugzilla for each of these.

The new project page looks great Wayne.

Some of the features that we had previously discussed are of particular
interest to me:

- integration in the perspective for repository submissions
- changes to the view to allow for rich project contents that originate from
professors. For example, a simple pane that lists requirements of a project
that can be *checked-off* as a student completes each task. I believe this
additional information can be stored in project files.
- remote project-pulldown was an interesting topic. The ability to download
a new assignment using the current Eclipse facilities causing a project
import.
- welcome page (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=246028)...
maybe tailored to remote project-pulldown and repository access so students
can start a new assignment or continue one in progress directly from the
intro page.

Hey folks. I've started working on the project plan. For now, it's just a
placeholder for a real plan. I more-or-less made up the dates. Looking for
your input.

The "Committed" sections in the themes will be populated with actual bug
reports once we decide on a reasonable set of milestones (and I then add
those milestones into bugzilla)

I think that I've moved all the bug reports from SOC into IDE4EDU (except
for the one that requested the move). The bugs are currently categorized
into "General", "JavaLite", and "Scheme". We can add more components as
necessary.

On the topic of adding components, we need to start discussing the features
that we intend to include for this release. I'd rather keep the list small
to start, but am open for discussion.
