Re: [ice-dev] Notes about setting up ICE

Hari,

I'm cc'ing the dev list to see if anyone else can provide better details on what's wrong.

?Personally, I would just delete the workspace and start from scratch (since you already have a separate workspace for ICE). The only part that takes a while is resolving the kepler target.

Any luck getting it working?

Another thing I should add (sorry, I *just* realized this):

When running ice.product, you'll need to open up it's run configuration (in Eclipse's menu bar, this is Run > Run configurations...).
Then switch to its "Plug-ins" tab (at the top of the page).
Enter the filter text "win32".
Select all plug-ins that show up. Using the buttons on the right is faster.

If you don't do this, you'll get missing package errors for SWT.Display... or something along those lines. And ICE won't run.

I forgot to add that the ICETests directory now exists as a git repo on habilis.

It should be in /home/NiCE/ICETests.git

I suppose you could check it out using Eclipse, but that will probably put it in the workspace or in C:\Users\user\git\ICETests. It needs to just be in your user directory, so I use the GitHub git shell (which is a glorified Windows command prompt) to check it out.

Hari,

See the attached file. Hope this helps. If not, send me a message on Google, and we'll try to get it figured out.
