[hyades-dev] TPTP Marketing Group Meeting minutes, November 11th 2004
|
1. Attendees
Ling Yao, Intel
Marie Godfrey, CA
Ian Skerrett, Eclipse
Melanie Woods, Scapa Technologies
2. Eclipse Marketing & PR meeting update
Events, PR opportunities etc. discussed in detail below.
3. Contact Reports / Call for Papers
There do not appear to be any Eclipse-related 'sample' nominations
available. The Jolt Award submission form is web-based, so it was
decided that we should request a text document. Early bird submission
ends November 15th, so we need to try to work on this quickly.
ACTION: Ling to request text-based submission form
ACTION: Ling and Melanie to work on TPTP nomination
4. Events
Details of the EclipseCon submissions (presentations and tutorials) were
distributed to the marketing group. We need to identify which of these
might be most appropriate to submit for CA World too.
ACTION: Jim (Saliba) and Marie to advise on which EclipseCon submissions
would best suit the CA World session tracks.
5. PR
Article placement for the project continues to be a problem. The PMC and
project leads recognise this as a problem, and have agreed to try to
help produce some articles for the group to place. One idea is to hire a
ghost writer or ask one of the documentation writers to help. Another
idea raised was for this group to try to craft an article outline.
Suggestion that the work undertaken for the Jolt award nomination might
lead on to an article outline.
6. Website
Nothing to report
7. AOB
TPTP requirements process discussion. It was felt that this group could
help formulate high-level requirements based on market information that
each individual member company is exposed to through their own
market/customer-facing activities.
ACTION: Melanie to feed back requirements group meeting process, and add
this to the standing agenda for ongoing discussion.
N.B. The group is constituted in the same way as other TPTP development
groups, and is respectful of Eclipse rules and regulations for meetings
between Eclipse members. Also, with regard to operational activities
covered by IP policy and anti-trust regulations, it is the duty of the
lead committer to make group participants aware of these regulations.
The group does not have a lead committer at this stage, however,
participants can find details on these regulations at:
