For those of you who uses modeled EMF IDs would be good to take a look at the new ID caching support that was recently added to the org.eclipse.emf.ecore.resource.impl.ResourceImpl, check JavaDoc for setIntrinsicIDToEObjectMap and getIntrinsicIDToEObjectMap methods.
