[hudson-dev] Contributing to Hudson Core 3.0.0 at Eclipse

I thought I sent out a note on this before. Seeing patches being submitted via bugzilla, apparently I did not.

Hudson core git repository is included in Eclipse Gerrit review board. So submitting patch to Hudson core is lot easier now.

Steps to follow

• Register and create Eclipse account, if you don't have one already - https://dev.eclipse.org/site_login/createaccount.php
• SignIn in to Gerrit  with Eclipse account id - https://git.eclipse.org/r
• Click on the "settings" button at the top left and add your SSH public key  - https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/settings/ssh-keys

Check out Hudson core

• git clone ssh://{sshusername}@git.eclipse.org:29418/hudson/org.eclipse.hudson.core.git
• Modify the core to apply your patch and commit
  
• Upload your modification to Gerrit. git push ssh://{sshusername}@git.eclipse.org:29418/hudson/org.eclipse.hudson.core.git HEAD:refs/for/master

This will submit your patch for review. Some one will review your patch and apply it to the core.
