We will need your help in understanding what steps are required for the Eclipse Foundation to join this organization. Obviously, we want Higgins to be front-and-center in this organization, and the Eclipse Foundation joining is, I believe, the necessary prerequisite for doing so.

Today Technical Community and Industry Leaders announced the formation of the Information Card Foundation.

 

Since the mission of the Information Card Foundation is to Advance the use of the Information Card metaphor as a key component of an open, interoperable, royalty-free, user-centric identity layer spanning both the enterprise and the Internet. It's activities will greatly benefit the Higgins project by

• Providing guidance and support for projects advancing Information Card infrastructure on the widest possible range of platforms, including freely available open source implementations.
• Promoting the adoption of information cards 
• Promoting interoperability via recommendations, technical interoperability events, and working group reports for Information Card technology, policy, and user experience.
