Re: [higgins-dev] Message Globalization in Higgins IdAS code
|
Jim,
I tried to start "globalizing" via the org.eclipse.higgins.messages
project, but I am not sure whether that is as well thought out as it should
be - perhaps we can try to figure out what the "eclipse" way is and follow
that?
Regards,
Mike

Is there an eclipse-way, or higgins-way of doing localization?

Hi All,
We found that most of the messages are used for creating exception
or similar usages are hard coded. This is limiting us from claiming our
product to the customer that we support internalization of messages in our
product.
Is there any plan for moving these messages to a resource file and then
supporting for all major locales ? I am sure you all will have some
strategy on resolving this known issue.
Thanks and Regards,
Prakash
