Re: [higgins-dev] Higgins developers call today at 12:00 Noon EDT

hi Ben,

if you are interested in a working version of the H3 higgins HBX and the rpps application which supports it, I can provide a private download bundle for you. It was the bundle that was used at the burton interop. we arent allowed to post it publicly because of some legal situation involving the right to distribute the gazillion irrelevant dependencies in the project.

as for getting the eclipse building, it is a real pain in the ass. i can send you my eclipse project file--- or better yet, you should talk to Bjoern Assmann-- bas@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx --- who can walk you thru the steps (since i walked him thru many of them). You have to do some stupid crap like adding the "strong-crypto" java policy files to the correct directory.

what is your interest in the project? are you planning to improve the selector, etc?

btw, my friend Steve Weis is in your group at google. small world.

Which parts ?

All of it. But where I'm currently it is 1.5 days so far of tracking
down jars given nothing but their names :-)

Some of them have me foxed, like, so far:

js.jar
ldap.jar
xerces-j2-*.jar
java-openid-sxip-0.9.2.jar

is there actually a list of where these things come from anywhere?

Hey,

I'm not actually a developer (yet, anyway) but I am trying to get
Higgins to build under Eclipse ... how do I get some help with that?

Cheers,

Ben.
