Good idea Brian.  We've been using Novell-specific oids and post-pending silly arcs like .666 at the end :)

FYI - To put our extensions for ePerson and higginsPerson in better stead with the LDAP naming authorities, I've asked the Eclipse Foundation to apply for a number any Eclipse project can use as a base for new OIDs.

It is fairly minor, but felt it might avoid conflicts or awkward situations as we publish the LDIF for the schema extensions used.
