[higgins-dev] Vote for Committer status for Andy Hodgkinson has started

Paul Trevithick has nominated Andy Hodgkinson as a Committer on the technology.higgins project. The reason given is as follows:

Andy has been an active participant in the Higgins STS project, contributing Java code for generating managed infocards, identifying IdAS interface enhancements and bugs during the early integration efforts, and providing sample STS<->client protocol exchanges. Andy also integrated IdAS into the OpenInfoCard STS and worked in conjunction with other members of the Bandit/Higgins team to deploy and maintain the Wag (IDP/STS) and Woof (RP) sites for testing and demo purposes. In addition to assisting with the STS, Andy has been implementing a cross-platform C++ version of the ISS, card generator, card registry, and embedded (local) STS. 

Prior to joining the Bandit project, Andy worked for 12 years as a senior engineer on Novell's FLAIM database technology. A year ago, this scalable and reliable technology, used by GroupWise, eDirectory, and iFolder, was released as a Novell-sponsored open source project.  Since that time, Andy has served as one the primary maintainers of the project.


The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal and recorded in public on this mailing list.  The voting will continue until either all 12 existing Committers have voted or until they have been given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least one week). Andy Hodgkinson must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for a successful election.
