Outcomes of the meeting::
- It was agreed in principle that the HBX and
with all its supported identity protocols needs to be a single plugin. (From a usability perspective, one is
plenty.)
-
Need to let
Johannes, etc. know when we have initial Infocard
support working on Higgins BX so that he can take a look.
-
It was agreed that
another action item is the creation of a consistent user experience for all the
identity protocols supported (if possible)
-
It was agreed that
another action item is creating consistency for security policy markers used by
security providers. There needs to be
consistency on the back end. Does integration occur in the plug-in or on a
server?
-
Several
participants were interested in enabling a user to log into SUSE Linux using
their personal URL. Action item to see what this would look like and if it could be made to work.
-
Jon has a user case
for a YADIS enabled wiki
-
RCP increasingly
needs some notion of user authentication.
Use the Higgins abstraction layer as a wrapper. So that the developer is writing to the
Higgins API, not JAAS
-
Scott and Janrain
have interest in building an OpenID Higgins provider. Janrain needs more understanding of the
Higgins Context API to do this. (People may have too many commitments to get
this done before June)
-
Paul will be at the
IIW in Mountain
view May 1-3. Day 3 is open space and Paul is happy to
discuss the Context API, other more detailed technical topics and schedules
then.
