There have been lots of side emails going back and forth on the subject of Higgins support for OpenID or for all of YADIS. 

 

In addition to Higgins’ general interest in having plug-ins for as many identity management systems as possible, there is also the practical issue of needing a short term way to authenticate to an RCP app given the recent announcement of a delay in the release of generalized JAAS framework for Equinox/Eclipse.  There are also people working on demonstrations for a conference at Harvard.

 

Since time and resources are always limited, and we want to minimize redundant efforts, it has been suggested that we have a call among the interested parties to discuss the issues. 

 

Scott, can you communicate with JanRain on this as appropriate?

 

Scott, Johannes, Paul, Andy and any other interested parties: are you available for a call at either on April 18, 19 or 20^th at 5:00PM or 6PM PDT?  If none of these times work, please suggest another time.
