Prior
to the meeting, please read the ALF Security Architecture for SSO document
on the Eclipse ALF website: http://www.eclipse.org/alf/includes/ALF_Security_Architecture_SSO.pdf
The motivation for the ALF contribution to Higgins to be:
1.
While ALF requires the security facilities, ALF's focus is not security.
2.
ALF can provide the resources to implement the STS and security infrastructure
needed by ALF. (Though we hold out the hope that other participants in Higgins
might have code to contribute that might accelerate the capability.) We believe
what ALF requires is generic and widely applicable.
3.
Having the work done in Higgins would subject the work to scrutiny by more of
the security community
4.
Higgins becomes more valuable to the Eclipse community
