Re: [henshin-dev] Fwd: [eclipse.org-committers] Introducing: Gerrit Code review

Let's discuss the pros and cons of switching to Git at our next meeting, which I propose to have after the release.

Cheers,
Christian

May we should jump on the train and switch to Git. At least Gerrit seams to be pretty cool.

Greetings,

We're officially launching Gerrit, a web based code review system, which
"facilitates online code reviews for projects using the Git version
control system. Gerrit makes reviews easier by showing changes in a
side-by-side display, and allowing inline comments to be added by any
reviewer".

You can access Gerrit here:

    https://git.eclipse.org/r/

You can see Gerrit in action on a submitted change here:

    https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/4178/

You can read more about Gerrit here, including instructions on how to
use it, and how to enable it for your Git repos:

    http://wiki.eclipse.org/Gerrit

And finally, the background bug that has led us to this:

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me
directly at webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx. If there are questions that come up
frequently, I will add them to the docs and/or broadcast them on this
list for all to enjoy.

Thanks,

Denis
