then i think this should be a bug report on the release version
0.8.3 hanshin editor.
i get a clean Indigo (eclipse 3.7) in my environment, then install
henshin sdk 0.8.0. then install henshin editor and get this error:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items
could not be found.
Software being installed: Henshin Editor 0.8.3.201108111600
(de.tub.tfs.henshin.feature.feature.group 0.8.3.201108111600)
Missing requirement: Henshin Editor 0.8.3.201108111600
(de.tub.tfs.henshin.feature.feature.group 0.8.3.201108111600)
requires 'org.eclipse.emf.henshin.common 0.1.0' but it could not
be found
the org.eclipse.emf.henshin.common does not present in henshin sdk
verison 0.8.x above.
thanks Christian for your reply.

Hi
Simon,
which version of Eclipse are you using (it should be Helios or
Indigo)? In general, you can try to uninstall the Henshin feature
(using the update manager) and then try to reinstall it (again
using the update manager). It should not complain about any
dependencies.
The "common" plug-in was part of the 0.7.0. In version 0.8.0 and
above, it was replaced by the plug-in "matching". In general it is
not a good idea to merge in missing plug-ins by hand, because the
version numbers can be crucial.
If you still have problems, you can also try to install the
nightly builds (a different update site). They have the version
number 0.8.1.x). You ca later uninstall it again and switch back
to the release version.
Hope that helps..

Christian
Dear henshin developer,
when i install the henshin editor and all other stuff from
eclipse
update manager, it shows me a missing figure error, i
pri-installed
henshin sdk 0.8.0.
but it seems i need a org.eclipse.emf.henshin.common package.
this only exists in 0.7.0.
so i just copy and past it.
is that ok? or this figure should be deleted in the new version.
and when i am trying the new example, the bankaccount example, i
did not
see any "henshin" choice in the context menu of the x.henshin
file.
i use the context menu in the henshin view to execute the rules.
did i missed some installation?
and right now, i have not been able to run the example,
errors... ...
hope to get some useful info from you.
sincerely,
simon han
