Hi Jürgen,
I started an attempt but never got the time to start working on it. ECF uses Zookeeper for discovery. Thus, it would be natural to "pre-configure" ECF so that it connects to the Zookeeper automatically. Once done, you could make use of OSGi remote services instantly.
