I see several ways to start depending on your current level in GMF project structure and your motivation:

• you can provide a patch for this issue which contains a quite well described solution for the issue: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=381062
• you can implement the rotation of labels (something that is asked often even if there is a well-known workaround using images): https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=384106
• you can improve support of Bidirectional Language, there is several of them and I suppose that when you started with one you will be able to fix several of them: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&bug_status=REOPENED&classification=Modeling&list_id=9071730&product=GMF-Runtime&query_format=advanced&short_desc=BIDI&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr

I'm a user of GMF and I'd like to contribute to the GMF project. I already cloned and compiled the code on my machine, where can I start to help? Is there a bugzilla bug that I can try to do to start getting into the code?
