Hi,
We'll keep this work in GMF for now - just to
simplify our lifes not introducing dependencies to EMFT component. However, I'm
not trying to say we don't need one, just that GMF tooling will keep developing
it where it is now (i.e. SDK experimental) and we would be glad to contribute to
the component once it's ready.
To put it other way round, GMF 2.1 will include new
model capable to generate property sheet (actually, not only property sheets,
form-based editors are supported as well). It won't be very similar to the
present one, though, don't use that stale wiki pages to find out what's
coming.

I assume the property sheet generator is generic enough to be
applicable to any EMF model : the property sheet you can generate should work
both with the EMF Tree structure editor and the graphical editor generated
with GMF stuff. What about creating a new EMFT project to host this component
?
