RE: [gmf-dev] GMF runtime requires EMF M4

Hello Richard,

Looks like we have some problems with our download sites here at IBM.

When I follow the link http://download.eclipse.org/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php, I am redirected to http://fullmoon.rtp.raleigh.ibm.com/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php where there is no EMF 2.2.0M4 available for download.
I can't get to your link: http://download.eclipse.org/technology/gmf/downloads/drops/N-N20060103-200601031021/index.php.
And when I follow the 'build page' link beside the EMF version in the latest posted integration and nightly build reports (EMF build 2.2.0.I200512220106), I get the following error: "File 2.2.0/S200512220106 not found!".

Sorry for the confusion,
Linda

Hi Linda,

We download EMF from here: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php

Our build pages always indicate the EMF/GEF/etc. versions that were used in the build, e.g. http://download.eclipse.org/technology/gmf/downloads/drops/N-N20060103-200601031021/index.php

You can also subscribe to gmf-releng@xxxxxxxxxxx to be notified of continuous builds, and changes to build configurations.

Thanks,
Rich

RE: [gmf-dev] GMF runtime requires EMF M4

Hi Richard,

Sorry, I should have addressed my remarks only to the GMF runtime developers.  There's no change required in the GMF build.

The last EMF target I was instructed to use was
EMF build 2.2.0.I200512151150 (http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/gmf-dev/msg00362.html) .  When I synchronized this morning, I had compile errors in org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.emf.core, which are resolved by retargeting to EMF 2.2.0M4.

When did we switch to EMF 2.2.0M4, and where should I download it from?  I can't find it on the usual EMF download site (http://fullmoon.rtp.raleigh.ibm.com/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php), but was able to find it at
http://emf.torolab.ibm.com/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php

Thanks,

Linda

Hi Linda,

I’m not sure I follow you… EMF 2.2.0M4 has been available for some time, and we build against it already.  Or, did you mean EMFT?  In that case, I cannot access the link you provided.

Thanks,

Rich

Hello folks,

If you're building the GMF runtime today, you'll need to update your target environment to EMF M4.

EMF M4 isn't available for download on the main EMF download site yet.  In the mean time, you can find it at:

http://emf.torolab.ibm.com/tools/emf/scripts/downloads.php

Regards,

Linda
