[git] Include Repository in Project

OK, I admit to being a contol freak: Projects and sub-projects reflect how I organize my work. OTOH, a Git repository is just another resource for a particular project. And I'm deep into Git submodules to group them according to sources, maturity, etc .

When I "Google" the question of Git repo's and Eclipse Projects, I find loads of advice on placing my E. project within a repo -- to me that's backwards. I want to show the repository as one of the resources __within__ the project. I want to see them hierarchically under the project in Project Explorer.

I did find a selection in the Git Repositories panel context menu "Show in ... Project Explorer"; however, selecting it had no visible effect.
What did I miss?
